Ocean Viking emails ITMRCC informing that the vessel will seek shelter from worsening weather conditions to the east of Sicily and warning of increased risk in case of further MOB

From: Ocean Viking To: ITMRCC CC: Flag State “Due to the worsening weather conditions we will need to seek shelter. The only place that offers shelter is currently to the east of Sicily. The other issue is that if other people jump overboard and the weather is too bad we will not be able to safely launch our rescue boat without risking our crew . Please be advised that we may seek shelter remaining outside of the 12nm shortly.”
